Get Ready With Me is a visual interpretation of the phrase ”att göra sig fin”. To make oneself beautiful is a quite irrational routine – it is expensive and takes time but it doesn’t stop us from doing it. Being irrational is what makes us human.
The contrast of rationality and irrationality is what I worked with in this project. Materials such as metal and perfume scented fur reference to jewelry and expensive garments – parts of making oneself beautiful. The modern and reduced construction in contrast to the rokoko-inspired design language is a comment of how rationality and irrationality correlates.
Made with aluminum profiles and recycled sheepskin.
